No matter how much you love 'em, dogs are bound to create a muddy mess for their owners at some point. Read on to learn how one local company can help you maintain your sanity (and your clean house) when that fated day arrives. With their romping and playing, canines can be a pretty messy species, but that doesn't mean that your budget can afford a professional bath anytime Fido decides to roll in the mud. Enter: Laundromutt.
Located in Madisonville, Ohio, this pet owner's life saver allows customers to wash their dogs themselves at a fraction of the cost for a professional grooming appointment. For the flat rate of $14, customers can bathe their dog, taking their merry ole time while using the Laundromutt facilities. The self-service wash provides customers with access to elevated tubs designed for dogs, scrub brushes, shampoo, high-velocity blow dryers and more.
The best part of Laundromutt is that your dog's bath requires no cleanup. "Our tagline is, 'Leave the mess with us,' " Heater says. Many Laundromutt customers opt for the self-service grooming because they don't want their dog going back in the house before she gets cleaned up. So the next time Spot frolics through the muck or decides to roll in whatever his dirty mind can imagine, hop in the car and head to a bath, no appointment needed.
Because it is a self-service business, Laundromutt offers a more flexible schedule for customers. Most of the time, you can't schedule when you'll be pulling your hair out over a dirty dog, so Laundromutt offers a convenient "first come, first served" policy.
But a quick run through the creek or a roll through the field doesn’t have to be the only reason for treating your pooch to some quality one-on-one time with her best friend. Each bath is a hands-on experience that many dogs enjoy, Heater says. And with the $400 blow dryers, customers enjoy the aftermath of the experience. The dryers help get a shedder's fur out at the Laundromutt so that it doesn't end up all over your couches, carpets and pants legs.
While no professional groomer assists in bathing the dog, customers can choose to pay an additional $4 for a groomer to trim the dog's nails, depending on the schedule of the groomers. Laundromutt and Grooming Tales, a full-service professional grooming business, operate in the same building, so if a groomer is what you (or Princess) desire, make an appointment with the grooming side of the operation. Grooming Tales works by appointment only, and grooming prices vary, depending on the size of the dog and services provided.
For more information about Laundromutt or Grooming Tales visit their Web site or head to 6758 Bramble Avenue in Madisonville, Ohio.
